Insurances Travel Insurance The credit union starplan insurance is a comprehensive world wide travel insurance policy. the policy is available on an individual or family basis . A further 10% discount applies if you are borrowing from your credit union for your holiday. House Insurance You can insure your house and contents with Homeunion 50 and Homeunion 25 at very competitive rates. Discounts of 35% are also available on your premium. Repayment Protection Insurance Repayment Protection Insurance is a policy which meets your loan repayments for a specified period of time if you are forced out of work for any number of reasons e.g. : accident , illness or redundancy. members with existing loans can also avail of this insurance. Repayment protection insurance is an optional benefit on loans and is priced competitively. Life Savings Insurance At no extra cost we provide life insurance cover on our eligible members savings up to 7620 Euro. The insurance cover decreases as the member gets older. Once earned the insurance stays in force provided the member does not withdraw their savings Loan Protection Life Insurance Loan protection insurance is provided to our borrowing members upto the age of 80 at no extra cost. Under our loan protection scheme the loan, on the death of a member, is cleared ( subject to terms and conditions). Death Benefit Insurance At no additional cost a sum of 1300 Euro is added to a members account in the event of death. Once the member has opened their account before their 70th. birthday and remain a member they automatically qualify. This insurance was introduced to cover the cost of funerals. Standing Orders You can set up a standing order from your bank account to pay a specified amount into your credit union account each week or month. By setting up a standing order you avoid queueing and we send a statement to you each quarter so you can monitor your credit union account. Adult Savings Stamps We have recently introduced a 2 Euro savings stamp which can be purchased in the banking hall of our main office in Youghal. Foreign Exchange Bureau de Change We offer full bureau de change facilities in all the major currencies for our members. Western Union
